In 2023, there was someone in my life that I cared about more than anyone else. They were my best friend, my close friend, my motivator, my purpose, and my life itself. Every conversation, every shared moment, felt like it had meaning, like we were building something that could never break. They were the person I turned to when everything else felt uncertain, the one I could rely on without hesitation. And for a while, it was perfect. It felt like no matter what happened in the world, we had each other. 🌹
Within one year, everything changed. We stopped talking the way we used to, stopped sharing the small details that once made everything so real. I didn’t notice it at first, but the silence grew. The distance became undeniable. And suddenly, the person who once held such an important place in my life was slipping through my fingers, like sand in the wind. It’s hard to admit, but I think I lost a part of myself when I lost them. The part that believed in connections that last, the part that thought nothing could ever truly break what we had. Now its 2025 and its been 2 years, things have changed so much and nothing is the same as it used to be. They don’t exist anymore, and I don’t bother anymore.
Why does everything, even the most important parts of our lives, tend toward disorder? Is it just inevitable, or is there a deeper purpose behind it?
Beneath our fleeting existence lies the science of entropy, force that doesn’t just govern the cosmos but shapes every facet of our lives. Entropy isn’t just about decay - it’s about change, growth, and the inevitable transition from one state to another. Maybe the real lesson isn’t about holding on, but about embracing the natural flow of letting go. Could it be that entropy is the force that makes room for new beginnings? 🚪

The Rule of Disorder ⛓️💥
At its core, entropy is a measure of disorder. In the simplest terms, the Universe tends toward chaos. This is the essence of the Second Law of Thermodynamics: in any isolated system, entropy will either stay the same or increase over time. Think about a neatly shuffled deck of cards. The moment you start playing, the order disappears. Or take your bedroom: unless you’re meticulously tidy, it’s probably getting messier right now. Entropy is why ice melts, why batteries run out, and why time only moves forward.⌛
But entropy isn’t about destruction for destruction’s sake. It’s about energy dispersing. Nature favors states where energy spreads out evenly. The heat from a cup of tea flows into the air, not the other way around. The smoke from a fire spreads into the room, not back into the flames. And so, order dissolves into disorder, not because the Universe is malicious, but because it’s the easiest, most probable state for everything.
Yet, entropy isn’t just a physical principle; it’s a lens through which we can view our lives. What if the patterns of the Universe, its steady march toward disorder, mirror our personal struggles with control, change, and loss? 🤔
Letting Go: A Natural Process 🍄🟫
From the moment we’re born, we cling to things: security, relationships, ambitions, and even ideas of who we are. We try to build order in our lives, stacking our own sandcastles against the tide. But just like in physics, life has its own kind of entropy. Plans unravel. Relationships drift. We age, change, and grow. The more we try to hold on, the more we feel the pull of chaos.
Take relationships, for example. People come into our lives like stars forming from cosmic dust. But sometimes, these connections burn out, fizzle, or explode in dramatic supernova-like moments. It’s painful, but it’s also natural. The same way a star’s death seeds the cosmos with elements for new stars, endings in life often make room for beginnings. Letting go doesn’t erase what was; it’s what allows life to move forward. 🧭
Even on a smaller scale, we’re constantly facing entropy. Think about decluttering your home. You know those old clothes you haven’t worn in years, and isn’t planning to wear anytime, yet you refuse to throw away? They represent a kind of mental weight, a refusal to let go. By releasing them, you create space, physical and emotional, for something new.
Letting go, thus is not loss; it is transformation. It is being made to understand that change is inevitable, and resisting only makes the way harder. In the universe, disorder opens ways for new forms, just like in our personal entropy clearing paths for growth and renewal.

The Beauty in Chaos 🦋
It’s not just about chaos; it’s about creative chaos. Stars are born in the turbulent, swirling collapse of nebulas. The Universe itself emerged from the ultimate moment of entropy, the Big Bang - when everything spread outward, creating the seeds of galaxies, planets, and life. Chaos is the soil from which order grows. 🌱
Consider forests after a wildfire. It seems like devastation, but the ash enriches the soil, allowing new growth to flourish. A breakup may be heartbreaking, but it paves the way for a new beginning, a change from what you have led so far, into self discovery, into stronger connections. In the face of entropy, life finds a way to adapt, grow, and evolve. And so can we.
This shift in perspective changes how we view loss. Rather than fearing it, we can start to see it as an essential part of the cycle, a necessary step for growth. Letting go doesn’t mean we’re giving up, no way! it’s about creating space for something new to come into our lives.
The true beauty of entropy lies in how inevitable it is. It serves as a reminder that nothing lasts forever, and that’s perfectly fine! The temporary nature of moments, relationships, and accomplishments is what makes them meaningful. Without that transience, we’d forget how much they matter. By embracing entropy, we can learn to appreciate life’s fleeting moments and find peace in the midst of the chaos.
Fighting Entropy: A Losing Battle? 🍂
Humans love control. It’s why we fold our laundry, plan our schedules, and build monuments to our achievements. But no matter how much we try, entropy reminds us that nothing lasts forever. Even the pyramids, standing tall for millennia, will eventually crumble. 🏛️
Does this mean we’re powerless? Not at all. While we can’t stop entropy, we can create temporary pockets of order. A family meal, where love and connection bring people together for a moment of harmony. Or a beautiful piece of art, carved out of chaos to inspire and uplift. An outing with your friends where your closest ones can forget all the stress of life and enjoy what life has to offer in it’s purity.
These moments of order are fleeting, but they’re meaningful precisely because they’re temporary. Like a star burning brightly before it fades, our moments of order shine all the more because they won’t last forever. 🌟
The Universe is You 🌌
I always say this to everyone I meet.
You are, quite literally, a product of entropy. Every atom in your body was forged in the heart of a star, scattered across the cosmos, and reassembled into you. Your life is a moment of extraordinary order in the midst of universal chaos.
But entropy is not only about the composition of your physical body; it is about experiences. The friendships you have built, the challenges you have faced, and the dreams you have pursued are all part of this. And when you let go of fears, expectations, or even relationships, you are not losing something. You are becoming part of the flow, contributing to the ever-evolving story of the Universe. 🌬️
Think about it: the atoms that make up who you are will eventually break apart and become part of something else. You are a temporary arrangement of matter, a beautiful moment in a world that’s always changing. To be a part of this endless cycle is to be part of something far greater.

Let GO.
So, what can we learn from entropy? Maybe it’s that holding on too tightly is like trying to stop time. Instead of resisting change, we can learn to go with it. Instead of fearing disorder, we can see it as the spark of creativity.
Next time you’re overwhelmed by change or loss, think of the stars. They don’t last forever, but their light travels far, inspiring long after they’ve burned out. Your life is the same. It’s not about fighting entropy; it’s about shining as brightly as you can and trusting that, even in letting go, you’re part of something bigger.
The universe isn’t just out there, it’s in you! In your body, in your blood, in your mind. It is you and you are it. Like the stars, your time is short, but your light can burn brightly. Letting go doesn’t mean it’s over - it’s just another chapter in a story unfolding through stardust and time. 📖
